Invisionboard if everything is already FTPed into place will take around 10 minutes to install. Good luck!

Hehe I learned this the hard way. I didn't know that after you create the forums folder you can DRAG & DROP everything else into place!!!

Next I think I'll try a phpBB forum install from scratch then XMB (which sucks but it'd still be nice to learn how to install).

RossMAN, I've spoken to you about a forum before, but if you're offering your services...I may just be PMing you again shortly. But this is going to be for something that's bigger than just me, and they have some funding, so I should be able to pay you some money...I just don't know how much yet. 🙂

The Grand Nagus to the rescue!

But promoting free services, that goes against the Rules of Acquisition!
I call for a new Grand Nagus!

unless RossMan has plans to acquire both namecheap AND ripplehost! I still say he owns half the space on the internet in an unnoticed hot deal a while back. You all don't believe me, but wait until suddenly EVERY page on the web is changed to "Bow to RossMan!".

Originally posted by: dquan97 I gave up setting mine up with Dixiesys. Wanna try, ROSSMAN?
First off... another congrats to the Rossman... by far one of the MOST helpful members of AT. Now, what forums do you want to set up?? If it's invisionboard, I'll do it for you... PHPbb is a bit more time consuming.
I have invisionboard. bGIveNs33, want to install it for me?

If you need someone I would certainly do it for you.

EvilYoda - Sure, just PM me when you're ready ... however I am only familiar with webhosts who use the cPanel control panel if it's Plesk, Ensim or H Sphere you'll have to find someone who is better qualified to assist you. I'm just a n00b trying to learn.

yoda291 - Correct although I think NameCheap, RippleHost, AddAction, Dixiesys and dathorn are AWESOME I have no relationship to those companies other than being a (very satisfied) happy customer.

If you keep talkin' like that, I'm gonna get Roger to *ick your ass 😀
I hope that's *ick as in kick, not lick.:Q

Sorry about no linky, but it's just a friends and family forum, nothing major. Plus, there's no need for you people to register and never go back! I only get a gig bandwidth anyways, and I haven't hardly begin building my main site yet.

If anyone wants one on a plesk server, I can do it. I have one set up with phpbb.

Maybe you can show me how to do this sometime, just the database part because everything else I have down pat.

Thanks.
