Big T.v. decision

I need quick, but experienced advice. I'm buying a flat screen 27 in. tv tonight at employee discount, and i want input as to which is better, and best for the money, but quality is very important. Sony KV27FS13 for 398 at discount, or Panasonic CT27SX11 for 364 at discount. Thanx

Personally I'd grab the Wega (The same TV I have). If for no other reason than the Wega can do 16:9 compression & the Tau can't (I'm assuming that is a Tau, right?).

Wega for the 16:9 mode. It makes a huge difference with anamorphic DVDs...

Considering the TV's he's looking at I suspect his budget isn't big enough for HDTV.

Gotta love his prices though, I paid $400 for my used Wega 6 months ago & was thrilled to get it for so cheap.

for tube tvs i definetly agree, for projection or plasma id get a pioneer elitle.

Wega!!!

I went from a 20" Wega....to a 27"......to a 32"....love them all!!!

That is a sweet price you are getting for it too. I paid $600 for mine last year, but then again I only paid $500 for my 32".

What more are you looking for?

Both are gorgeous TVs, both have virtually identical features, & they're similarly priced. The one thing that really differentiates the two is the 16:9 compression that the Wega has.

The Tau might have better sound too, the low end Wegas have inferior sound compared to their big brothers. Dunno how they compare to the Taus.

BTW, Nutdotnet, you're a bitch. $500 for a 32"? I hate you.
