So my car sucks, its a 90 Corolla with only two cutouts in the whole thing for 4" speakers no less. Anyone have a recommendation for where I might be able to take it and get them to find a way to fit some large speakers in my car. I am capable of doing the speaker wiring, that's easy, but not the creation of mounting places for speakers. I was thinking of bringing it to Circuit City, but I'm afraid they will charge way too much. Any suggestions?

How much money do you have?

Your easiest route might be to add a subwoofer, and use the best sounding (to you) 4" speakers you can find up front. You can take your sub and amp into your next car when you're done with the Corolla.

Or check the yellow pages and find a shop that does custom enclosures, but that won't really be any cheaper, unless a company is producing ready made kits for your car.

Whatever you want to put in the rear can wait if you get a sub, amp and quality fronts.
