Big Sound Problem With My K7S5A Mobo

Hello, i've tried installing both a turtle beach montego II soundcard, and a MX300 using the latest reference drivers from vortexofsound. Neither of which worked. As soon as i reboot, i get a BSOD. I even tried the onboard sound, and it installs, then when you reboot i got a exclamtion point over the darn thing. Any ideas why?

use pci slot 2 for the sound, seems to work the best for me no conflicts. also the sound, maybe wrong drivers folder? only suggest because many people have installed unneeded and wrong drivers while installing this mb.

number 2 from the top or bottom? also why wouldn't the onboard sound work? anyone ever use a 8830 chipset card with their computer?

I also have a lan card, what slot should that be in?

any slot.. but not the one next to the AGP slot coz it's IRQ is shared
