In america's army its becoming almost inpossible to play because all of a sudden I'm hearing gun sounds in a continuous loop. Along with also weird clicking noises and static thats just about taken over the game.
And I have similar problems in battlefield 2. Yesterday in fact the game crashed on me twice when trying to join a server......that was new and I'm not sure its releated.

Anyways, I have the creative audigy 2 ZS card with the latest drivers. Ok, I did not uninstall the sound driver first I just installed the latest driver over it. That will be my next thing I try tonight to solve the problem. I will uninstall the driver first then reinstall it.
Is there anything else anyone can suggest? A virus maybe?

My X-Fi does the absolute same thing in Battlefield 2. All of a sudden, out of the blue, all the sounds will be distorted or incorrectly. For example, driving an ATV will sound like repetitive tank fire, the UAV scanning sounds like gunfire or nade explosions, voices play garbled and at the wrong speed. The only way I've been able to fix it is to just restart my PC. As for BF2 just crashing when you join a server, as in crashing right to the desktop, that's a problem nearly all of us have had to deal with since that sh!tty 1.3 patch; try a different server.

Ya thats probably not related. But this sound problem is driving me crazy. I had to uninstall and reinstall AA 3 times yesterday to try to get rid of the sound problem. Thing is its also in BF2.
Hasn't anybody had similar problems? See, thing is I'm trying to avoid having to reformat my pc just to straighten this mess out.
