Big SLI problem... no PCI-E (besides 6600GT) available..

IMHO it is a waste of money to buy an SLI board and put dual 6600GTs in it when you can buy an nforce3 board and put a 6800GT in it for less $ for the mobo... If you want nforce4 SLI you ideally want 1 6800GT now and add another in 6 months when they are cheaper... So where are they?

I agree... thats why I cancelled my plans for SLI. First of all they are taking for ever to release the boards and the 6800 GT's. I need to build a system by the week of Christmas and I am still not seeing any boards available. Monarch is the only place I saw that has the boards in stock, but for $325 they can kiss my ass. As for the 6800 GT's, they are also very limited in availability, and the pricing is outrageous also. They are charing $500 minimum in most places I have checked for a 6800 GT.

I just finally decided to get an MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum for $135 shipped. And I am picking up a BFG 6800 GT OC @ my job with my discount for $310. So I will be saving tons of money, and now I don't have to worry about when these products will be in stock anymore.
