Scythe Big Shuriken SCBSK-1000
Scythe Shuriken Rev B SCSK-1100

Building HTPC and I'm looking for good cooling with quiet. SPCR highly recommended the Big Shuriken in one of their low-profile tests. At the time I put my wishlist together it was out of stock, so I put the Rev B. on there. Not it is back in stock and only $4 more than the Rev B.

Is there actually a difference between the two? Is the Rev B. as quiet as the big Scythe?

Will be cooling an e8200.

The Big is definitely bigger than Rev B (looks like 20mm more on both length and width), which means there is 400mm^2 more room for putting more fins for heatsink surface area... I would say the Big on paper will perform better...

Scythe Big Shuriken SCBSK-1000 has 6 heatpipes , also bigger fan and more surface area.
