Isn't it funny, I'll tell ya the story of this ebay trade.

He bought a gameboy advance package from me.
hxxp://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18809&item=802837257&rd=1
And he paypalled me an echeck which takes 5 days to go through. so I sent. Next day he files a dispute and says he hasn't gotten the package.
So I try to prove it to paypal and I can't because I only shipped usps priority with Insurance. So they say if I don't give them a tracking # he will get the money credited back to his account. So now he won't reply to any emails and his paypal id is now not a registered user.
Tried calling his phone number he had on ebay and its a modem or a fax machine.
So I don't know what to do besides call the usps and tell them the story but I think he would need to be contacted for the insurance to work.

I would appreciate any SERIOUS advice any of you have to throw in.

Thanks

You sent insured Priority without a tracking number? If it hasn't arrived, that's the post office's issue (insurance)..

Has the echeck cleared yet? If so, you may want to empty your paypal account, just in case paypal does something screwy.

You will get your $ back from the USPS, but it will take a while.

The insurance has a # from USPS. Would that count? If not, you leaned a valuable lesson. DC is your friend, even if it means nothing.

Um.... when you ship USPS with insurance, I thought you were required to use certified mail as well, which includes a tracking number.

If there's insurance involved, you better believe the insurance company is going to make sure there's a mechanism to determine if the package was delievered.... well, at least that's what I would believe, anyway. You sure there's no tracking number? Isn't there a tear-off portion of the form that was glued to the envelope, that was stamped and returned to you? Look on there for a hideously long number.

There should be some sort of tracking..if not, USPS's insurance agent (any idea who it is, out of curiosity?) could lose a lot of money on fraudulent insurance claims...

Look on there for a hideously long number.

It's not that long. Here is a pictuire on one. It seperates right between the 2 numbers, where the blue writing is. You should also have a postmark on your half.

In this instance the # is "VB 563 100 043 US" But not sure if that meets Paypal's definition of a tracking number.

All I have is the reciept for domestic insured parcel.
addressed to: maple heights OH.

and thats about it besides some numbers for postage cost and stuff.

I pulled all the $ out of my paypal acct and will see what happens I guess.

I sure did learn a lesson, never new I could get screwed like this with paypal.

any other advice I would gladly appreciate, also would appreciate if someone lived in the maple heights area and do a "TrollHunt" for me.

Post the reciept. It probably has the #'s on it if it is one of the new reciepts.

case closed folks, must be a loser kid or something.
I have been sending emails to this troll for a week and after I sent one that said I have contacted the usps Mail fraud dept because I had insurance I received a email from this deadbeat and one from paypal that the buyer said it has been resolved.

funny isn't it, I also called them and left a msg so it must've worked :)

thanks for all the help, I'm goin to celebrate!!
