Hey guys. I hope this is a good place to put this, and it does kinda relate to netowrking, so I hope soneone can help!
I actually work for a company that has a software product that uses a VPN connection to our server... Everyone with the software can connect fine, including people with dialup, DSL, and cable. Direcway seems to be giving us a problem though. Basically, there are two different issues we are having:
1) the users try to download our software and get an "unable to communicate with FTP server" error
2) when they install from our CD, they cannot create a VPN connection. The basic result is that is looks like they have a firewall in their system, but I've been through everything and feel certain they do not.
I am currently working with two customers that have the same problems. The first has the regular home edition of Driecway and the second one upgraded to the Business version because they told him that if he wanted to do VPN he would have to upgrade... Same two problems with both users. Of course Direcway keeps telling them that their system is not the problem and it's my company, but we also do ISP stuff and if I create a dial up connection on their system and have them dial up, they have no problems!
If anyone has any experience with this, or can fill me in more on the actual workings of the Direcway system, I would really appreciate it! If you want to get into this outside the forum, you can e-mail me at jfoust@flightline.com...
Thanks in advance for any help you can give, and let me know if you need any more information from me, and I'll see what I can find!
