I just downloaded the 1002 CUSL2 BIOS and have tried to flash it using ASUS Update v3.26, but it has failed to verify that the ROM has been flashed successfully each time. It erases and flashes the ROM without a problem, but halts when the progress meter reaches 9% while verifying.

Has anyone else had this problem, or am I alone?

Obviously, if you are going to check make sure that you are able to get another revision. It's also a good idea to back up your current BIOS.

Hrm...
I've got 98FE

I forgot to mention that I can flash an older BIOS revision without any issues...:)

Thanks

Use the DOS based AFLASH.EXE.....always more reliable.

Another vote for AFLASH, no problems. How do I FLASH VIDEO BIOS on this board from 4.1 to 5.1 that I found on Intel website.

actually, the old asus apdate utility that came with the mobo does not work. download the latest version and you should be fine. you can get it here.
