BIG PROBLEM IN CD/WRITER

I'am having the CD-RW "Creative 4.2.24 X " & and am facing that problem with it
after finshing the write proceess successfully as the prgram says
i found no data on the CD .... !!!!!

i cant usa the cd again , its destroyed

i tried every thing

but i think i must change the HEAD of CD-Writer

but i dont know from where can i buy it
& how much it cost

plz write the site that i can purchase the HEAD from it

Alrite.. well you won't be able to change the head.. as far as I know... do run an VIA based motherboard? Check to make sure your chipset drivers are up to date, along with any firware etc.. available for the writer. Also trying using various CDR programs, such as Nero, CDRWin, DiscJuggler, EZ Cd Creator, etc...

what program are you using? if its cdrwin, you're using a legit copy right? CDRWIN has it if you use a wrong / blacklisted cd key, it'll still let you install/work, but it'll burn blank cds. So yeah...if not..i dont know what the problem is

thanks all but i actually do all the solution u can think

1- update my chipset " intel"

2- using various CDR programs " all the same result "

3- i trying to use it in another PC but its the same problem.

4- i try to clean it .

someone tell me i must change the HEAD ???????????????????????????

I dunno it sounds kinda like a problem i have/had. Have a crappy 8.4.36 Phillips. Here's the thing. Have you started using a new brand/type of cd recently. Some cd burners (like mine) are picky as heck. Like I've wasted a lot of money catering to my burner, but anyway... I bought a spindle of TDK CDs, had the same problem you're having. Then i thought wtf?!? so i bought a small pack of memorex CDs, those worked fine. But then I bought a spindle of memorex CDs and that didn't seem to work (spindles are generally lower quality.) The in tried a CD from a spindle of Imation 12x CDs (from my friend) and that worked fine. Now i buy spindles of Imation cds and they all work fine. So basically what i'm sayin is try another brand! (If anyone knows why my burner's writing at like 4x but it's set at 8x in Nero, please tell)

I had the same drive and the same EXACT problem. I was able to fix it by taking the drive apart and cleaning the lense with a Q-tip. BTW, you can't replace it.

You must change the head.

Happy now?, this is done by removing the burner and placing carefully in bin.
Buy replacement burner and install. Head is now replaced.
