Grand duo is expected to reach 2M devices in may !

http://www.digitimes.com/news/a20130412PD211.html

They expect profit to rice 53% q1

Their goal is 300M handsets 2013, and want to sell 100M S4

I still think the 100M S4 is perhaps a tad to ambitious, but if they can sell 2M Grand duo per month, and 1M 5.8 Mega a month, they are really on a roll. Its crazy.

Perhaps the 5.8 and 6.3 Mega will outsell Note 3 per month. The midrange market for big phones is aparently really, really big and on a rise.

As a sidenote this really show the emergent markets is where the economic growth is - and profit.

I mean i adjusted well to the Note 2, and it seems like a normal sized phone, but i can't really imagine going larger then that.

I will hold off on the Note 3, or iPhone if they go to a 5"+ display.

lol yeah. people always joke around about the zack morris phone...

http://cache.gawkerassets.com/assets/images/4/2011/11/f18ee5540504a8e6eef11d82449bfbec.jpg

and now phones are starting to get back to that size.

Well that phone is a joke because it's nothing more than a phone. Nowadays our phones are more like hand held computers. If the majority of your use was making phone calls I could understand wanting a smaller phone, but I know for me voice calls don't make up all that much of my usage. Everything else I do greatly benefits from larger displays.

I don't get the mindset of people caring what they will looking like using somehting. I couldn't care less what people think about what I am using

I think the android and iphone watches will kill small phones. If you want the smallest possible device, you will get the watch, otherwise you will get the 5.8" phone.

Unless you think people will start making phone calls talking through their watches, I don't see that happening. ;)

It's gotta fit on my front jeans pocket. If I can't sit down with the phone in my pocket, then it's too big. So currently 4.7 inches is my comfort zone. Samsung has shrunk their Galaxy S4 5 inch phone to the size of a 4.7 inch, so it looks like I could go as large as 5 inches in some cases.

No way I'll be packing a 6 inch phone. Samsung might as well paint that thing pink, because only women with purses would be able to carry something like that around.

Speak for yourself, skinny-jeans. I can carry an S7 7" tablet in my pockets comfortably, and I don't wear rapper pants. A Note II is no thing, and a 5.8" probably wouldn't be a problem either.

Yeah I can fit my Nook Color in my pockets, but I am stuck in that mid-90's mentality of wearing a pant size too big.

I just put my Kindle Fire in my front pocket and sat down. I can tell it's there but it's not uncomfortable.

My wife will be getting the Note II and I'll be getting the S4.

I was thinking they would. If designed properly, the device itself could be detached from the wristband for making a call with a strong secure lock design.

Or refresh the Note 2 with upgraded innards and call it the Note 3.

The Galaxy S and Notes are the flagship phones with the newest hardware/specs.

These Mega phones look like they're supposed to be mid-range phablets - without the top end SOC and displays of the flagship phones. Basically Samsung's fetish to create a range of products in every size at every price point.

Personally the Note 2 is about as large as I'm going to go (and this is from somone who always believes bigger is better). If the Note 3 mimics the S4 is being similar in overall size to the Note 2, yet with a 5.7/5.8" 1080p screen, I'm good.

nexus 7 works fine for me. ipad mini didnt fit because it was too wide. im not sure why apple bothered with the mini. its not exactly "portable" to me if it doesnt fit in pants. if i carry a bag, i might as well carry a full size 10inch tablet.

It's already been released in some Asian countries and will be released on the 26th in the UK.
