Purchase is online only.
Hmm....this deal seems to be dead. The link to the refund for the game is no longer there!!
Yea it ended last night at midnight. Placed my order around 11 pm so just got in.
So is the free game deal dead totally now?
Still showing on Nintendo's web site.

Got Smuggler's Run used from BlockBuster for $9.99. They are having a Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale right now, so I also bought a couple of $9.99 PS2 games... Wipeout Fusion and Virtua Fighter 4. So, I got all three for $19.98 + tax!

I have joined the Gamecube Club. Got it this weekend at Target. I got the Metroid game with free memory card 251 both for free. So the system + Metroid + Mem 251 = $149 + tax = $163.xx

Thanks for the great thread!

Yeah, and the I remember the press release from Nintendo mentioning that the deal is intended to go on until May or June or something. At least that's what I remember.

I saw a Sunshine bundle on the shelf at a CC yesterday for $159.
Wouldn't it be eligible for the free game too?

Me = :confused:

BTW: Not that I'm even in the market for a GC...unless it costs $67 or less (a la the FAO Schwarz deal!)

Not really a Gamecube specific deal but everything at Circuit City is shipping free... not sure if all gamecube games were shipping free before (probably lol)..

EBGAMES is offering a rebate on buying 1 2 or 3 gba or gc games as a combo.. 25$ rebate for buying 3, and if you look at the fine print of the rebate form theres games on there that qualify that arent on the specified list EB gives you such as unreleased games like FZERO, golden sun 2 and advance wars 2..

pretty nice preorder combo if i do sayso myself 50 + 30 + 30 = 110$ -25$ = 85 for 3 brand new nintendo titles

The Kmart by me is closing up. They had a bunch of GC's and Mario Sunshine Bundles on clearance for 25% off. I'm not sure if the rgular GC's come with the free game or not, but even so, it's not a bad deal for the console. Looked like all their games were also 25% off.

Not a deal ....but The Indigo Gamecube on CircuitCity's website is now listed as a Clearance item. Is this a bad sign??? Its not at a lower price though. Any word on them possibly not selling Gamecube anymore?

My guess (and this is only a guess) is that they may discontinue the indigo color itself as it's not a preferable choice among consumers. Im sure CC will still continue selling the other two colors.

This might not be a hot deal to some people per se, but I found this site very useful for buying rarer items (import, etc) like platinum gamecube controllers to go with my platinum system. I bought two of em for $59 shipped and they delivered rather quickly. The price may not be hot (now its the usual going price on ebay, but back in January they were selling for $30-$45 a piece on ebay) but having your entire system matching is :)

http://www.videogamedepot.com

I don't work for them, just in case you're wondering. =)

Are these the same Nintendo-brand quality Wavebirds as the wired controllers that come with the platinum system?

How did you get them for $59 shipped, if they are selling for $39 each right now?

An email from a reader of this thread (Thanks, Vuoy) pointed out that the Gamecube Controllers are at Costco for $9.77 and include shipping and handling. I believe there may be a 5% surcharge to make it $10.26. These are Nintendo brand.

Nintendo Controllers - Costco - $9.77 - $10.26 for non-members.

Two other deals I found while looking at the Costco site:

Super Mario Sunshine - Costco - $29.77 - $31.26 for non-members.
Timesplitters 2 - Costco - $26.99 - $28.34 for non-members. Save a few dollars.
