As above. Big LAN Party in Yorkshire in England. 100 places available but more can be got if needed. It's a 36 hour gaming LAN so not for the light hearted

Ya don't need an ethernet rig. All we ask is that your comp has a network card in. If it hasn't one can be fitted on the day for £10, you also get to keep the network card

The Lan is going to be run for 36 hours
It's costs £20 for the full 36 hours, discount for clans amd group bookings
6+ dedicated servers.
Tournaments and competitions with prizes (e.g Counter Strike and Medal Of Honour tournaments)
Discounts on hotel rooms
Excellent faciliteis (pool,jacuzzi e.t.c)
Excellent disable facilities

I always wonder about the security of my rig at these events. How is this delt with?

When you say security, are you meaning the security of it when it's there or the security of viruses e.t.c on the network. You don't have to worry about viruses as all the servers are of our own so there are none present and we also have virus software anyway. If you are talking about the security as in, 'will it get stolen' then no it won't. At LAN Parties everyone is there for the same reason. It's a big community. At night there are always people present as well as teh hotel warden. You would have my 100% guarantee that your system would be fine. I love my rig but I have been to LAN's before and all can say is that you have nothing to worry about. It's like if ya go camping, everyone could pinch ya stuff out ya tent. But because everyone is in the same boat then it doesn't happen.
