Big Green Egg. Does anyone have one?

I have been look into buying a new smoker/grill. One that I have come across that can do both is Big Green Egg. Does anyone have one?

I think I've seen on here before that others have said it's nice, but not worth the money. For smoking, people seem to be high on the Weber Smokey Mountain. I don't think it can grill, though.

I guess for something that does both, any large clay oven will do.

I bought one for the parents. I've used it a few times to smoke a pork shoulder. Did a good job, very easy to regulate the temperature. Only thing I don't like is the height. It's too short. I believe they offer a stand, but i'm going to make a nice one out of Ipe and granite

I made a flower pot smoker. I realize it's not as good (temperature control can be a tad touchy w/ the hotplate and forget about smoking in the winter), but it cost 1/8 as much.

you can smoke in the winter

/preload it with just a little charcoal

I currently own a gas grill. Not real good for smoking or low and slow BBQ.
