Rather than mouth vague, bullshit phrases like this, why not tell us what the world of "small government" looks like? Be specific about government programs and what they would provide under this wonderful "small government" utopia.

For starters, does Medicare still exist? Social Security? Pensions for already-retired government workers? How about the FDA, NIH, National Science Foundation, National Forest Service, FTC, FCC, and EPA? What about the Smithsonian Institution? Is everything a free-market free-for-all, with no government protections?

Why are you attempting to create the requisite that a utopia exists? That's not a very honest argument. It's okay that government exists, and it's okay that it's large.. . . it just needs to have no power/rights that the people it supposedly rules don't have.

I really, really want to know that "small government" looks like in practice.

Do we need as big a government as we do? Should it get any bigger?

Because the other guy was so awesome?

So you've decided you might win some points by coming in here to make a splash with a nonsensical remark like some sort of bozo "clever provocateur?"

Your post adds nothing in any way to what is under discussion, your post is comnpletely off the point, and your post ois obviously, intentionally, mere neffing.

By all the Anandtech forum rules your post should draw a ban for you.
Go away idiot troll.

Actually his response to ""Most people" re-elected barry sotero based on his record of nothing achieved. In other words most people are stupid cows easily led by their noserings. Consequence of intentional, planned dumbing down of education."

Was pretty spot on, its easy to state people who didn't vote the way you want are stupid cows. But considering the GOP could only field a stinker to compete its not a shock the republicans lost, and I say this with the opinion that Obama is a terrible president.

Given the context of this thread, I find your demands that authority intervene in this matter to be a bit ironic. And overblown. Settle down, junior. I was posting here long before the term nef was coined here.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

I was clearly using "utopia" sarcastically. But never mind.

I'm still waiting to hear what this "smaller" government looks like. I'm guessing that if the details were really laid out, you'd find an overwhelming percentage of Americans AGAINST it.

No you don't. You just want to act like an idiot and violate liberty. Time and time again we have seen the failure of socialism and the success of Capitalism but you're too stupid to understand this.

And just imagine, instead of having your perspicacity and wisdom, they made him an elite instead. How could the world be so upside down. Why, if it were up to me I would make you God had your primitive mind not already beat me to it.

No, he just wanted to show you that when asked to think you wouldn't be up to it.

Two things i would do straight away: Do away with the drug war, and a voucher system for education so kids aren't forced into public schooling.
