Big Fan too loud...is the YStech 120mm better???

I have a huge 120mm fan in my comp now, pushing 135 CFM. This is not a fan made for a computer! It runs off of my 120V house current, which I rigged to a separate power cord from the back of my computer, so I have to deal with !2! power cables coming out of my computer. Now this really isn't a problem for me, but the noise is. This fan is made by Mechtronics. Heard of em before? well I haven't. I don't know what dBA this fan is rated at, but I know it is ballsy high.

So I have been looking for a fan that is much quieter, and also pushes around 130 CFM. The only thing I have seen as far as single 120mm Fans go is the YStech 120mm Fan. here is a Link.

I was wondering if anybody has had experience with this fan??? Is it gonna be better???
Thanks for any replies

any 120 cm fan is gonna be freakin' loud, although, I'm not sure how loud your current fan is but there probably isn't that much of a difference. Except for the power cords......

I have a 120mm YS Tech.
131cfm, 46db.
Same db level as the Delta, much lower pitch though.

I run it at 6v BTW.

Tough to make that call, Dyne3D, as none of us have ever heard the fan in question. The YSTech is not known as a quiet unit, either..

Why do you want 130 CFM? That's complete overkill for all but very busy multi-processor multi-disk SCSI Raid Servers. In order to arrive at a relatively quiet 120mm fan, back off on the airflow to a 120mm Panaflo H1A, or a truly quiet Panaflo L1A. Caseetc. and Teamawe would be good places to look. Always run big fans from the power harness rather than the motherboard.

I have it configured in my system, so that the ONLY cool air coming into the case, is run across the Heatsink/Fan. This amazing amount of air (~135CFM) that the fan sucks into the case, all goes by the Heatsink/Fan, and cools it. So I use this Big 120mm Fan to cool my Overclocked Duron.

it is at 1ghz. @1.85V and stable too

for some reason my case temp is high though...air pockets, or maybe my house is just hot, eh?

What Fans should I use on a OEM board for a 1.2 T Bird and what fans for the SX1030, since
I just picked up an sx1030 and will be buying an up coming either asus MOBO with the DDR as well as SDram slots with Raid if it is also Palamino compatable or any other like it for the same reasons, have an ATI AIW Radion 32 DDR and 516 med sDram will use it for Mild VideoEditing and CD burning with TDK 16x10x40, other than that I will not be gaming much if any, and will use the computer for very little overclocking if any. Noise is a pain but I hate killing anything worse than noise... still a good ballance would be sweet.

I would think that 135CFM is overkill too. I just put the 80mm Panaflo L1A's in my system and a 60mm to replace the loud Delta. Ooh so quiet it is. Caseetc delivered the promptly, and answers question just as fast.

I am waiting for someone to rig up a radiator fan out of Ford F250 just for kicks.

Tung Free-

My 1030 has 4 PCP&C Silencers, very similar to the L1A Panaflos and low noise Addas performance wise. I run an overclocked p3e, 2 hdd's, cdrom, burner, TNT2. The psu fan picks up slightly when burning CD's, even then the exhaust is not warm to the touch..A very quiet machine.

The case has such a low resistance to airflow that strong fans are not necessary. I'm quite sure that my experience is pretty typical.
