i just got the abit kr7a motherboard, everytime i try to install windows xp it messes up, can it be the 4in1 drivers, cuz if i take out my hard drive and install it on my old pc, it works find, but if i install xp on my new pc with the abit kr7a mobo, it says

Stop: c0000221 Unknown hard error
\SystemRoot\System32\ntdll.dll

i can get windows 98se working fine on that motherboard, i dont get whats going on, any help anybody thanks!

Check the BIOS version of the Motherboard and go to Abit's website for updates. Does it has ACPI fuction support? Sometimes the memory timing is too fast for some software to catch up, you might want to set the DEFAULT settings in CMOS so you can accurately count all RAM and load minimal devices effectively. You can also remove all expansions baords (ie. sound, video capture, scsi, dvd decoder) and leave the graphics adapter as to not "hang" the system up, or lose RAM performance. Also some motherboards cannot take the microsoft XP software, best bet check and wait for Abits update.
