I went to Sportmart in Torrance, CA to get a tent last night and they have a pretty good sale going on camping gear. I know that these brands aren't the greatest if you are an avid camper, but for my purposes they do just fine, and are probably sufficient for other occasional campers as well.
All North Point tents, chairs, sleeping bags, and a few other things are 50% off the lowest marked price. We got nice camping chairs with arm rests and a cup holder for $5 each.
All Coleman tents, shelters, sleeping bags, and some other items are 30% off.
I was able to get this tent for $84 plus tax.
They also had this 3 room tent available for about $120. There were a lot of other shapes and sizes available at great prices as well as many accessories that are good to stock up on when they're cheap.
Once again, I realize that for 3-4 season camping you should spend the extra money and go to REI or Adventure 16 and buy quality gear, but for us fair-weather campers this seems to be a nice deal.
