Big Brown Out

I was really looking forward to the Breeders Cup this year. Finally getting to see Curlin vs Big Brown would have been one for the ages...

Then this happens:

Big brown out - retired from racing - luckily not a major injury and will make a full recovery but it really ruins the hype that was coming.

I guess the storyline now will be Curlin vs Casino Drive - but Casino Drive is a joke. 3 races and his latest this weekend was an easy hand ride over a nothing field. He has G1 potential but by no shape or form will he measure up to Curlin, Colonel John, Mambo in Seattle or most of the others.

Same here. Curlin is a monster and Big Brown petered out, his hoof has always been a concern. Curlin would have destroyed him.
