so i just downloaded a comma delimited file that exceeds 1 GB (1,079,856,647 bytes)

want to guess how many records are in it?

do a find and replace, replace all the commas with a long string of characters and see how long it takes.

Or better yet, copy the bulk of it and replace the commas with the entire document. :-x

I had a file similar size once on a project. Someone actually asked if we could print it.

Large file size does not necessarily mean a lot of records.

I had a hugemongous csv that had 300 and some odd colums, but not a ton of records.
