Universal $6.28 dvd's $5.99 dvd's

Credit to supfool! and Jaymole for posting these at the dvdtalk forums (not like these are hidden sales, but I figured I'd give credit)

I personally ordred -

All Quiet on the Western Front
The Heiress (^^^ These just came out this month and look to be restored beautifully)
The Thing CE
Touch of Evil
This Gun for Hire

Edit: Ordered Feb. 6th and received them Feb. 12th, all in good condition with no floaters.

Last time I bought 3 DVDs at DDD, shipped by USPS. The package didn't show up after 20 days. I called DDD, the lady told me to call her in two days if the package didn't arrive. After two days I had to call her, she told me the new package would be shipped by UPS 2-Day Air. Got the package finally, I think that CSR lady is really good.

DDD has the slowest shipping of any online store I have ever used. At least their great prices make up for that!

Well then, why don't we all take a road trip to your Walmart to get the uber deals? You won't find all of these for $6 or less at Walmart so just give it a rest.

Yeah, my nearest Walmart is like 25 miles away. For that reason I think I've been in Walmart once in my life and have yet to buy so much as a stick of gum there.

I've bought many times from DDDVD and never been burned. Shipping can be pretty slow, depending, but I don't care about that. I've had one or two occasions to contact their CSR's, and it worked out OK.

I only found one DVD in the lists I wanted (Conan), and I put in on my wishlist and figure it'll still be $6.28 when they have a 20% off sale (twice a year lately) and I'll pick it up then (probably).

Don't be mad at me because your supposed "hot deal" isn't really all that fvcking hot :)

Dude, he's right and you should check yourself out. You come in here and thread crap saying you'd rather pick through Walmart's bargain bin than scan the list of available DVD's at DDDVD for $6.28 or $5.99 shipped because you don't want to wait for shipping. It so happens that's a pretty decent price for DVD's. There are hundreds. If you find even one, you've scored. I found one, as I said. Walmart is 25 miles from me. It's not an option.

Thanks for the heads-up on this one. DDD has been my primary source for DVDs for about 4 years now. The shipping can be slow but I'm usually not in that big of a hurry and it IS free. I've had 2 or 3 problems over the years and DDD has always been very responsive. Their deals like this always have quite a few good movies that are not what I usually find in the online or B&M sales in this price range that others have (and they always seem to be for the same group of movies). Nothing like the selection that DDD provides.

The only problem is that now I've dropped another $70 on movies and I'm running out of shelf space.

Is really worth that much effort and waiting to get it to save $1.20 on that DVD?
