There is no doubt Republicans are at war with women and hate women.

Why in the world any woman would vote against their kind and vote Republican is beyond me.

Biden: 'War on Women' is Real, Will Intensify

Vice President Joe Biden said tonight that what he called a Republican-led effort to rollback the rights of women is "real" and will "intensify."

"I think the 'war on women' is real," Biden told MSNBC's "The Ed Show," deploying the politically-charged phrase for the first time on the national stage.

"And look, I'll tell you when it's going to intensify - the next president of the United States is going to get to name one, possibly two or more, members to the Supreme Court," he added.

"Look, I have fought my whole career - I'm no hero, I don't want to make it like… - whether it's the Violence Against Women Act or equal pay. My entire career as a senator and the vice president is to get to one point: when my daughter is able to make whatever choice she wants and no one question it," he said.

As for the Romney Campaign's claims that women have been disproportionally harmed under the Obama administration - with 92% of job losses being women - Biden dismissed it as bluster.

"Know what that reminds me of?" Biden said. "Who caused these jobs to be lost - all of them, men and women?" he said, referring to the economic crisis that took hold under Obama's predecessor, former President George W. Bush.

Maybe Republican women support Republicans because there is no "War on Women".

It seem to boil down to

1.) Republicans dont support abortion. Neither do 50% of women. And I dont think women should be defined by the ability to have an abortion.

2.) They wont pass special, unnecessary laws, to give women privileges over men (hmm, are the Democrats maybe engaged in a little War on Men?)

Nice of you to pull statistics out of your ass. In case you forgot, Roe v Wade made abortion a legal right for women to have. Stripping women of that right is stripping rights from women. It's pretty simple.

So you agree there is no war on "women". But a war on abortion. But of course saying "War on Women" is a much better headline.

And maybe I will start caring about women reproductive "rights" when they stop expecting me to pay for them.

is there a difference? It's the first step to social health care. Woman will open up the crack... When they get on it everyone else will follow.

Watch and learn...

You are purposefully avoiding the point.

The fact of the matter is that women in the US currently have rights that the GOP is trying to take away. Therefore it's a war on women's rights.

Let me put it in a way that a right-winger can understand.

Let's say you currently have the right to bear arms, and there was a bunch of democrats trying to take that right to bear arms away from you. I would bet anything that there would be slogans and ads out there about democrats "war on the 2nd amendment". You have rights, and those rights are being attacked by someone else in an effort to be removed.

It's the same thing here. Women have rights, and the GOP is trying to take away some of those rights.

Abortion is one right. Not "rights".

That is my point. It would be like saying a war on the 2nd amendment is a "war on men". See how little sense that makes?

For some reason liberals are afraid to use the word abortion and have decided that women is synonymous with abortion.

It's a right that belongs only to women - thus it's a war on women's rights. You are deliberately being obtuse. Also when the GOP is attacking a woman's ability to obtain cheap birth control, then that has nothing to do with abortion. In addition planned parenthood provides plenty of other services besides abortion. I know women that go there because it's the cheapest way to get medical checkups when you can't afford medical insurance.

The GOP should be happy to have women having access to cheap birth control, since it cuts down on the amount of abortions that are needed.

As the other thread pointed out, there is a war on women, the war on "stay at home moms". Though now we have stay at home dads too... So maybe it is really a "war on family"

Those of us that believe abortion is killing babies believe it is a "war to save the unborn from being murdered" Not a war on women. Men and women both kill unborn children.

Now granted I think on the national level all sides have it wrong. To many laws trying to regulate to many things. Repubs want to make a nanny state by telling everyone what they can't do. Dems want to make a nanny state by telling everyone what they have to let everyone else do.

Do Democrats think women are soft and frail so much so that they must be taken care of by the big strong government?

Talk about stereotyping.

LOL!

Yup, it's a war.

1.) Planned Parenthood - treating men and women the same is not a war on women.
2.) Contraception - Republicans are not opposed to legal contraception. They just think people who use it should have to pay for it.
3.) Equal Pay - BS. If women are paid 75 cents on the dollar for the same work, then why doesnt my company fire me and replace me with a woman? Does the CEO hate bonues?
4.) Abortion - Yep, republicans are at war against abortion.
5.) Unnecessaty medical procedures - You mean making it harder to get an abortion.

So, it all boils down to a war on abortion. Abortion does not equal women.

The "War on women" is the latest rallying cry of the left. It's nothing more than a tool to generate hate against the right.

Equality is a war on male privilege, male dominance, male control, male sexual gratification. Please do not expect male authoritarians to see their war on women as anything but necessary to protect that privileged place. No selfish worthless egotistical prick is going to say he's at war with women. He will always be at war with what he perceives as a war on men. Delusion is a necessary state for assholes. And if there's anything an authoritarian politician wants its as many votes as he can get from assholes. It would be very fair, I think, to say that the whole authoritarian paternal conservative right is lead around by their assholes.

Needed a slight tweak, but otherwise good.

And yes, every time 'women's issues' comes up, it always boils down to abortion. Both sides have deeply held convictions on this issue. Many on the right have the conviction that it's murder. Many on the left have the conviction that it's a woman's right. Two opposing convictions, hence the never-ending debate.

It's not a war on women.

If liberals truly believed in equality they wouldnt expect men to provide special women's health care clinics and to subsidize women's health insurance. And to have special laws to protect women from men.

If you want equality liberalism is the last place to look.
