So in the last thread I made there was some doubt among a couple of posters as to what Biden was actually saying, despite the obvious implications. Well here you go, nice and explicit.

I did one of these town-hall meetings on the Internet and one guy said, “Well, what happens when the end days come? What happens when there’s the earthquake? I live in California, and I have to protect myself.”

I said, “Well, you know, my shotgun will do better for you than your AR-15, because you want to keep someone away from your house, just fire the shotgun through the door.” Most people can handle a shotgun a hell of a lot better than they can a semiautomatic weapon in terms of both their aim and in terms of their ability to deter people coming.

He's the point man for Obama, but he's a very, very poor choice of one. He has little confidence with the American public in general, he makes so many gaffes that he's seen as something of a joke, his ignorance on the gun issue is legendary and too many people recognize his total lack of credibility about firearms.

Vice President Joe Biden told Field & Stream magazine in an interview published Monday, "[if] you want to keep someone away from your house, just fire the shotgun through the door."

Coincidentally, a 22-year-old man in Virginia Beach, Va., was charged Monday with reckless handling of a firearm after doing just that a couple days earlier.

Local TV station WAVY 10 reports that the man observed two masked men leaning into his bedroom window. The men allegedly had weapons and told him to close his bedroom door. He stepped outside of his bedroom and did as instructed, then fired his shotgun through the closed door and then several more times at the window.

Maybe he can use Biden as an expert witness at his trial.

Such a shame since that probably did work. I've never robbed a house, but I would probably shit bricks then run like hell if someone started shooting through the door.
Biden is probably not familiar with the laws. It's almost never legal to fire warning shots because that implies your life is not in immediate danger. How ironic is that? Waiting for the guy to kick the door down then shooting him in the head is legal, but firing at the door or at his feet to scare him away is very illegal.

Surely you can see why people would be confused by this message. Him saying to break the law would be like Obama saying that you should buy oxycodone on the street if it helps you. It might be good advice, but what he's suggesting is hard core illegal.
