Biden administration announces "tough new sanctions" on Russia

WASHINGTON — The Biden administration on Thursday announced tough new sanctions on Russia in response to the Kremlin’s interference in American elections and its sprawling hacking operation that breached vital government agencies and private companies.

They comprise what United States officials described as “seen and unseen” steps in response to the hacking, known as SolarWinds; to the C.I.A.’s assessment that Russia offered bounties to kill American troops in Afghanistan; and to Russia’s longstanding effort to interfere in U.S. elections on behalf of Donald J. Trump.

A big change from Trump's have-at-US attitude. The Solar Wind hack was a monumental attack by Russia on the USA.

Now this is something Trump must be taking as a big bitch slap to his face reversing years of his carefully laying the groundwork for developing his hotel project in Moscow. His supporters must be furious over this epic insult to their president-on-hiatus. As a justifiable response Putin should give the go-ahead with that Trump project to show that those new sanctions being placed on them have dire consequences. /s

Biden should in return somehow cancel Moscow Mitch's Rusal aluminum deal seeing as if Mitch and his cabal of corrupted Repubs managed to lift the sanctions placed on that Russian oligarch. The project is already mired down and being held hostage by Rusal anyway along with that little tiff they recently had with Unity Aluminum resulting in the firing of Brady's CEO.
