I used to work at Enron in 2000... They spent top dollar on computer equipment for their employees. I was issued an IBM laptop with wirless adapter and 17" LCD screen. On my floor, we had 6 of those giant plasma TV's. One was in the server room where they played Matrix on it all day. Plus those Herman Miller Aeron Chairs were great to sit in. Damn those were the days... Wish I had time to go but I don't wanna drive down to Houston.

Some of these lots are confusing....

do they really expect someone to bid $200 on a:

"PALM, HAND HELD, COMMUNICATOR Model VX"
Quantity: Lot of 1

hell... you can prolly get a Palm Vx free after rebate from the Hot Deals forum here :)

I was a tech, I could have cared less about what when on in accounting. :) I met Ken Lay once though, and I didn't like him. He was a king sized prick to anybody without a TV camera.

Yes, they do. They charge all kinds of fees and there is rumor that they bid up the prices on things.

You might get a deal but by the time you're done with all of their fees it won't be such a hot deal. :(

Buyer's Premium: Auctioneer shall charge and collect from each successful bidder a 13% buyer?s premium for each sale at the auction, in addition to the purchase price as bid. Buyers who pay in the form of cash, cashier?s check, company check (with a letter of guarantee) or wire transfer, shall receive a discount from the buyer?s premium equal to 3% of the purchase price (unless such buyers bid over the Internet in a live Webcast auction, in which case the discount shall be equal to 1% of the purchase price).

Buyers are responsible for removal of assets and all shipping and rigging charges.

I looked through all of that and didnt find a single computer or laptop. Just computer wires, mice and docking bays.

Did you snag any office items before leaving? I know I would if my company screwed me like that.. I'm surprised no one came in shooting..
