I love books, the older the better. My library is turning into a warehouse, though. Anyone aware of good storage solutions for home libraries? I've been thinking of getting one of those rolling rack systems that you see in institutional libraries, but it'd look sort of weird in a residential setting i think.

I'm a librarian. Those compact shelving units are expensive. Just actively weed your collection. You generally don't need all those books. Hell, when I moved for this job, I got rid of a couple hundred and am not really missing them. Just prioritize what you want to keep, donate the rest to goodwill, and then get some nice big book cases.
