"Got a birthday, anniversary, or wedding coming up?

Let your friends know how important this election is to you—register with Obama 2012, and ask for a donation in lieu of a gift. It’s a great way to support the President on your big day. Plus, it’s a gift that we can all appreciate—and goes a lot further than a gravy bowl."

Just what every couple wants for a wedding gift

hahahahah, I give them credit for always coming up with new ways to fleece idiots.

That bullied bus monitor lady is raising more money than the campaign right now, so he's got to do something :).

Never ever underestimate the general level of stupidity, I'm sure they will fleece a lot of fools with this :D

LOL +1

I've received invitations from the Obama camp to donate money for a chance to win two seats at a fundraiser and from BOTH Romneys to donate money for a chance to win two seats at what appeared from a cursory reading to be some sort of event on a bus. Amazing what politicians think people will value.

I suspect those "prizes" are subject to limitations by the FEC.

Too bad there can't be some "truth in advertizing" with the donations. A statement like "donate $10k to Rombama, you'll get a seat at a table with other fools...ummmm.. highly respected donors, hobnob with the elite, and have Rombama pretend for a minute or two that he actually cares about what you have to say. If you donate substantially more (millions), Obomney will be happy to have his advisers sit with you and craft any legislation you'd like to get pushed through congress". :D :D

Could be. All it really amounts to is asking a lot of people to make relatively small donations, then one randomly selected (LOL) small donator will get two tickets to a function for which other people pay $10K (or whatever the amount might be.) That's probably not against any regulations.
