BH6 user pls read

if 256 only works, then when you shove 512 in, yes it will work (maybe) but only 256MB of it will work, the rest will not be addressable.
 
Dunno about 512mb, but I've had up to 384mb in mine before I retired it. Worked fine. I'd don't see why the BH6 can't support up to 512mb. It was one of the better BX motherboards out there at the time. Are you sure you're not refering to single 512mb DIMMs and not 512mb total memory?
 
The BH6 had enough trouble trying to get 256MB DIMMs to work. I can't even begin to
guess at whether 512MB DIMMs worked or not.

256 meg Dimms work fine on the BH6 boards I've worked with. I wouldn't try 512 though.
