Why does everyon overlook the soundcard? If you use a crappy soundcard it can eat up to 1/2 of your cpu cycles. Buy an Audigy or Herc XP and you can transfer it to your next system and free up the cpu to do things other than sound. Your computer is only as good as it's weakest link.
