Have BH6 motherboard version 1.0x, bios SS

Now have Celeron 300a running at 450 at 2.05 volts.

When do I change the chip to 566 at 1.6 volts?

Are these the steps?
1. Power down the 300a
2. insert the 566 and slotket
3. boot up and change the motherboard bios to 566, 1.6volts

Thanks for your help

Yes indeed, that's the way. It will automatically select the right voltage if bios and slotket voltage are set to default. Of note, if you intend to overclock that chip (and "why not?") and find you can't raise the voltage up enough for stability, there is a BH6 flash bios voltage trick that can reset the "default" voltage to a higher setting. Just ask!!
