My younger brother has a computer with a BH6 (rev 1.1, I think... It's a brand new one that I got from Abit when I RMA'd my old BH6) that is firing off a beep code at startup. It seems to be one long beep, over and over. I'm not sure, though, since he was telling me this over the phone. I've tried looking up the beep codes on Abit's website, but I can't download the manual because of our firewall here at work.
I did manage to find that (for an Award bios, at least) that the only beep code that has any documented meaning is the one long beep followed by two short ones. This is definitely not that beep code. Do Abit motherboards come with the Award bios installed by default? Or is it the AMI bios? I forget.
Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions? Should I have him try to switch the ram with another computer, see if that works?
