bh6 and lots of peripherals

Senior member
I have a bh6 with the following peripherals

s/b live pci
adaptec scsi pci
radeon agp
usr modem isa
3com 3c905c pci

No irq conflicts in windows, just it takes forever to load because its trying to assign all of these. Should I manuall assign in windows? Any hints?

As I said, windows shows no device conflicts, but irq 11 is used like 5 times for different devices.

What about IP address for your network adapter, do u have one set or it's on automatic, do u have a cable modem hook to it ?

Just installed the ethernet last night, because dsl will be coming next week. Have not specified any network settings yet. Am getting my machine ready.

What I was concerned about was that just because windows shows no conflicts, my irq's do seem to be pretty full at the upper end and windows did load very fast has come to a crawl.

If you have no IP setting, it'll take time to look for one from DHCP, goto the TCP - >Network card and set 192.168.0.1 as IP and 255.255.255.0 as subnet till they come or till you install NIC. reboot once and it'll be back to the normal speedy boot up.

Thanks, when I get home I'll put a fix up the network settings. I just put in a p3700e and radeon all in wonder, thing booted up great. waiting for my pc133 memory and we'll see.
