Bh6 and coppermine compatabilities

Hey people, I have an old version 1 BH6 and i recently just flashed the bios to the lastest version and it says it now supports 850/100 processors. I was wondering if anybody has gotton a 850 coppermine to work with the BH6. I dont want to over clock or anything, i just want to make sure it will work before i blow $230 on a new chip and have to buy a new mobo. Thanks much in advance!

nofxsux,
I can't vouch for the 850 but I just upgraded 3 BH6 rev1.0 boards with P3 800MHz coppermines. I wouldn't think it would be a problem, though.

nofxsux, for the past months there have been posts too numerous to count re successful implementation of P!!!-850's on rev1.0x BH6's. Since you've already flashed to BIOS version SS you only need to make the decision re FC-PGA vs. Slot1. Then, if you choose FC-PGA you need to decide on a Slotket.

Compuwiz, who frequents Anandtech, recommends the MSI 6905. He's not high on the Abit Slotket!!!. FWIW I've been running an FC-PGA P!!!-650 on a rev1.02 BH6, w/ the Abit Slotket!!! since June w/ nary a hiccup.
