BH6 and 2/4x AGP card?

We've got a BH6 (first revision) that has been performing great, no problem until now.

We recently upgraded this machine with a new video card, a Diamond Stealth S540 with the savage 4 chipset. It says its set at 2x AGP.

But Windows98 locks up when loading. Rebooting gets into safe mode. We set the graphics slider for performance to low and it boots into Windows now fine.

Could this be a AGP problem? Any idea how to fix it?

Make sure you have an IRQ assigned to your video card. Sounds like thatmight be the problem. I have a GeFroce 2 AGP 4x card in my BH6 rev 1.01 and it is functioning at 2x just fine (since that is the max the BH6 will go).

Can I assign that in the BIOS? I'm not sure if I saw an option to do that.
