bh-5 kingston and shuttle XPCs

I have a shuttle sn45g XPC and have 2 sticks of 256MB kingston hyperx-3200, both of which are BH-5 chips. for some reason i cannot change anything related to the ram in the BIOS or else it will not post. anyone else have this prob? Also, what is the big deal about these bh-5 chips? are they like uber fast?
