I think it should be ok, PC2700 only means higher speed, should be compatible with PC2100. BGA is supposed to be better too, in terms of overall packaging and heat dissipation.

Thats why I'm looking at it I want ram with BGA chips, most people with DDR notebooks complain about heat around the memory... BGA chips tend to run cooler than TSOP. Problem is Newegg isn't always the best on accuracy with images...

Know of any DDR notebook RAM with BGA chips or of anyone using that Dane-Elec?

MY IBM T40p has a 512MB module with BGA chips, it's certified by IBM, whatever value that adds....
I think the chips themselves are Infineon.

'cmosdos' at the Hardocp forum verified that the Kingmax sticks he bought from Newegg do have BGA chips, :D now to find out if they play well with a D800...
