BFG6800nu or ----->

Hi,
I was looking at 2 video cards. I can get a XFX 6600GT for 209 and a 25 dollar rebate. Or a 6800 nu at future pc with the new fans and a copy of farcry which I dont' own yet. However if I get the 6800 I have to hold off on a new DVD player for couple of months. I was wondering for the 300 I'm gonan spend is there anything better in AGP?

Yes. You can buy a 6800 for $250 at many places, likely with a copy of Far Cry.

Nothing from ATI in this price range competes on AGP

Go with the 6800, you won't regret spending the extra money. You won't likely find a BFG for 250, but you can get close with this.

Someone in FS/T is selling a 6800gt for $285 shipped. Pretty good deal IMO. But back on topic..I would go for the 6800 as well. Yes the 6600gt is a good card for the price (best bang for your buck) but if you were able to spend a little more, you won't regret having a 6800. I <3 mine 🙂

Read few weeks ago on web the best bang for buck, was getting 6800 and artic silencer 5 and fitting and using rivatuner if the make of card lets you unlock 12pipes to 16 and o/c it but i dont get the ram part as Gt and Ultra is 1.6ns and 6800 is 2.0 hmm.

Remeber the 6600Gt is 8 pipes and 128bit not 256bit.
