BFG10K (not 20K...) for elite

He has a rude side (but who doesn't) and a bizarre and strange fixation on the DXTC1 bug on Nvidia cards though, as if it's the end of the world and can't shut up about it for one second. But heck, otherwise he's definitely cool to have around.

Well if we're gonna nominate people, I might as well throw in a few names that I feel deserve some recognition.

Nothinman
Dahitman
Daovonnaex(Name sucks though, hard to spell😉)
 
Elite used to be not only contributing, but contributing over a long period of time. Not 25-30 posts a day for a couple months. Not posts like (search is down) when someone asks for help, and the one sentence answer is "..I have that x and it works for me..."
It also used to be that the Mods would recognize a person's contributions, w/o that person having to lobby for the title.

BFG10K has provided some great help throughout his time here. He does get into a lot of flame wars, but he always seems to back up his points with facts.

AFA Nothinman and Dahitman, Ya they both have been good contributors, although Nothinman has less than 1 year here.

Now Daovonneax? It seems strange to nominate a member who here For Sale: Geforce 4 Ti 4600 video card to highest bidder
is bragging about ripping the less knowledgable off!

Ya know Sunner, even though you've kicked a lot of peoples' a**es here, you'd be a more worthy candidate for Elite than some of the others😉

As for Daohoweveritsspelled's post in the GF4 thread, Im assuming that was a joke on his side.

Basically, I guess this forum has just gotten so bad that I think just about anyone who actually behaves like an adult deserves to be reconed.

And I dont really think time here has much to do with anything, I dont think Im lying by saying I've been around here longer than 95+ percent of the elites, but I dont considder that a good reason to make someone elite, any more than I considder having been here less than a year a reason not to.
 
I'm surprised that I'm already considered that highly, but that isn't the issue. Yes, Nothinman, Dahitman, and Sunner are all valid contentions for elite. They've shown consistency and intelligence, two qualities which are very important. Sunner, if my name is difficult to spell, feel free to abbreviate it as Dao.

Hah, I hear that. I'm not impressed by neither membership dates or post counts. Lots of us are on our second or third member names here because we lost email accounts due to graduating or some such and never bothered to have a mod help us out and just reregistered, and many of the people who rack up post counts in off topic or hot deals (and there's A LOT more neffing in that forum than is generally attributed to it) seldom post outside of those forums--but I hate to see when one of them rips on someone with only 500 posts in video or software as being a newbie because each of those 500 posts they made were actually useful.

Hot deals is notorious for attracting lowlifes, anyway. I had my rankings enabled once, and after telling some guy that I don't appreciate him calling his daughter a bitch and that he can keep that off a public forum, somehow a flood of posters decided it was neccessary to rank me down. Live and learn, I turned that off quick.

At any rate, people just don't know BFG10K as a poster, they know him as a personality, and his posts have a unique credibility around here because of that.

Oh and BTW, I agree on BFG10K, while a bit "hot tempered" once in a while, his posts are definately good reading the vast majority of times.

Most of BFG10K's wrath was directed towards PowerVR (the poster, not the company) anyhow, whom merited it.
