Ok, so I had a BFG 6800GT OC PCI-e card, but it had a defective 2nd DVI port (only would recognize my LCDs as CRTs and thus wouldn't send them a proper signal to display through DVI). I shipped it to them 2nd day Fed Ex and they got it monday.
Today, I recieved a package from UPS, it was my replacement card. At first I had no idea what was being delivered as I had shipments coming but through FedEx. I looked at the lable and saw BFG and was pleasantly surprised. Well I open the box and pull out the card, noticing that it appears to be a blue PCB with their dual fan copper heatpipe heatsink instead of the nVidia reference cooler. I thought, hmm, they must be making their alternate version of the PCI-e card now. Well, I pull the card out of the anti-static bag, only to look in horror, its an AGP card.
So I picked up the phone and dialed their tech support. About 30 seconds later I'm talking to a nice man, explaining the mixup. He says, "ooh, not good", and then promptly asks if he could put me on hold and he'd be right back. A couple of minutes later he comes back and says that they must have mislabeled the card that I sent back in and that if it was ok with me they would send me a shipping label and have me send this card back and that they would then ship out the correct version (he emphasized this part).
I have to say I was impressed (really not that hard to do). Although I'm a little bummed I got the wrong version back, its an honest mistake and I'm not gonna fault them, especially since they're making up for it without me having to badger them into it. To be honest I didn't expect a replacment before next week anyways, so its not that big of a deal.
Thumbs up to BFG. Hopefully everything else will go smooth from here on out.
