BFG vs. PNY PCIe 6600GT

Both have dual DVI and include a HD component cable (the two most important aspects to me). BFG is $249.99 whereas PNY is $204.90 at ZZF. I guess the overriding factor in favor of BFG is the warranty and tech support, not to mention slight OC? Looking for testimonials on experience with the two companies (I've only had experience with Asus, ATI, and eVGA).

Well Leadtek, Asus and MSI and if you can find them Gainward are among the top teir manf.

BFG is still new and has yet to decidedly prove itself but they make excellent cards. EVGA is also very nice with their step up program.

PNY and XFX tend to be kind of cheap and skimp with capacitors, and memory. Dont stay away from them, but be wary.

For 50 bucks cheaper i would just take the PNY. It will still OC albeit more than likely not as much as the BFG but if you need a card for all OCing than get a Leadtek or MSI.

So your telling him to void his warranty 😛

As far as I know, BFG and PNY are the only two nVIDIA channel partners who make PCIe 6600 GT's with dual DVI and who include HD component cables. Thus, it's between these two (I'd like to go with Leadtek because I've read their 6600 GT's are the quietest, but they lack dual DVI...I plan on running dual LCD monitors eventually while having the ability to hook up my desktop to my HDTV).
