Anyone have a registered BFG 9800GTX? If you do could you tell me what it can be traded up to and how much it cost?

I would appreciate it. I am trying to register a 9800GTX but it seems they are not getting my emails. My first concern before pursuing this further is whether or not it even matters. If they are going to want $400 to trade up to a 9800GX2 the I could care less.

Thanks!

I'd think your best trade up path would be a GTX260 Core 216, and even at MSRP should cost you around $150..

Of course, with GTX260C216s selling for considerably less than MSRP, you might be better off to sell and buy yourself, depending on what they give you for the 9800GTX.

If you are having difficulty registering your card, you can call tech support. What part is giving you the blues?

Don't get a 9800 GX2. Oh yeah, they also aren't available for trade-up either. If you trade-up, get the overclocked GTX 260 Maxcore (216 cores).

Your cost will be $300 plus shipping, minus what you paid for your old card.

Cool beans. Thanks guys! I wasn't sure I really wanted to upgrade at all. The only reason I was registering was because I was curious as to what they offered in their trade up program.

Well you have to register for the warranty anyways.

Eh, I usually don't bother with the warranties. I can't remember the last thing I registered for warranty support. I don't think I have ever sent anything in under warranty either.
