BFG motherboard

How come no ordinary people talk about this board? Is it mainly because they don't have a bios update for the venice/sandiego & X2 core CPUs? Or another reason? I am considering buying it since a BFG tech told me they are very close to releasing a bios update to add full support to the new cpu cores...

You're right. I've never heard anything about BFG in general. I guess people don't like outdated BIOS and pre-overclocked graphics cards. 😛

Because it looks suspiciously like Chaintech's nForce4 Ultra board yet costs quite a bit more.

It is in fact made by Chaintech, i.e. it's the VNF4 Ultra with BFG bios.

Look closely at their VGA cards, they are Chaintech as well with slightly better cooling.

Chaintech makes great stuff, save a few bucks and buy the VNF4 Ultra, exact same board, many more people own it (myself) and have had great experiences overclocking. BTW, Chaintech's current v5.0bios supports all dual-core CPUs and has for a few weeks already. BFG seems to be taking their sweet time.
