BFG LS550 not clipping into Biostar 790GX mobo

I just set up a new build. Its running fine. But no matter how hard I tried, I could not get the clip on the 20 pin ATX cable to "hook" or clip into the ledge of the mobo header. So, the cable comes out real easy. Is this a problem? Should I go with a different psu/mobo combination?

Anyone else have a Biostar 790GX and a BFG LS550 and have the same problem?

Is the little plastic lip on the motherboard too thick perhaps? You may try shaving it down.

IMO your powersupply is better than your motherboard, you may consider another motherboard 😀

Specifically, what is the reason the connector won't latch? Is the tab too thick like HOOfan 1 noted? Or, is the latch on the connector not long enough to extend below the latch when you plug the connector in?

You might also need to support under the mobo where you plug the connector in. Sometimes there is just enough flex in the mobo to not allow a good latch.

It looks top me like the latch on the connector is not long enough to extend below the latch.

Is the ATX male portion from the PSU going all the way down into the female plug on the MOBO? Do they meet flush or, is there something keeping it from sliding all the way in?

On some boards in the past, I have had to really wiggle the ATX plug and put a good bit of pressure on it to get it to latch.

Or, is the clip way too short? A pic would be helpful.
