BFG LS-550 - Deactivated Item Newegg

I have been waiting all week to deposit a check so I can start my build. I had the BFG LS-550 in my wish list with Newegg, only to login this morning and show that the BFG LS-550 is out of stock. When I went to the product, it shows "deactivated item". Well F!

Now that this PSU is out, what do you guys recommend. I need a GOOD and SILENT PSU. What do you guys recommend?

Where did all the BFG LS-550 go?

It turns out that customers were only interested in the LS-550 once we (BFG) dropped the price to below cost. The MX is still out there, and at a price where we're not losing money, but nobody's hardly buying them.

Basically people just weren't interested until it was significantly cheaper than the competition (which put it below cost), no matter how good it was or how many awesome reviews it garnered.

If you want one, buy the MX-550. Internally it is the same as the revision 1 LS-550 (the Fore Point made unit) but is modular.

So people associate quality PSU's with Corsair even though Corsair is a memory company?
