sorry but if you send in your card for RMA they will surely send you a 6800OC your card should be a 6800OC in the first place.

I'm assuming this came in the 6800NU box?

Yup, box was unopened as far as I can tell, says 6800 OC, 128mb DDR AGP 8x/4x and all that other stuff ~ Oddly the heatsink on the card also says BFG 6800 OC in raised lettering (its the dual blue led fan hs).

But its got 8 ram chips (I think dont wanna bother pulling it out) that were all stuck to the hs with that thermal tape ~ so how does something like this happen! Guy on assembly line A got a cart of GT's instead of NU's and just figured he'd slap the extra thermal tape on the extra ram and throw it in the box? This is assuming the GT hsf's say 'BFG 6800GT OC' -- do they?

Yes they do say "GT OC." What does the sticker on the back of the GPU say?

They sent me a GT!!!!

You should email a pic of the card, and then and a screenshot of your windows saying it's a GT and have "Pwn3d" in big bold letters across the image, to BFG.

The sticker on hsf back mounting bracket says BFGR6800OC

The sticker in the lower corner of the card says BFGR68xxxGTOC (the x's are some other numbers, not 6800)

😀

Hehe that would be pretty funny to email them a Pwn3d pic, but I'd only want to do that if the recepient knew what it meant heh
