Ordered the BFG 6800OC for $199 from outpost.com deal....just installed it and well, it looks like a 6800GT?

71.89 Nvidia drivers tell me its a 6800GT with 256mb GDDR3 and 16x1 6vp

Everest tells me the same thing with it running at 370mhz, ram at 1000mhz

Ok so I install Rivatuner 15.4 to see what it says and possibly unlock the pipes....its telling me its a 6800GT with 256mb GDDR3, 16x1 and 6vp.

WTH??? The heatsink on the card just says BFG 6800 OC

The BFG 6800 OC I ordered was under 'Even more computer Deals' on outpost front page, its $199 without any rebates needed...

This is so sweet!

Anyone wanna confirm the hardware for me? The 256mb would be the easiest way probably, this card has 6 chips (I think its in the case now) for sure, might be 8 i didnt look real hard.

If it's a GT, they better replace it with a GT if you have any problems.

BFG always ships back whatever you shipped to them. Just make sure the stickers on the card list it as a GT. They do NOT need the original packing slip, just a snapshot of the card and/or the serial number.

damm u....lucky guy!! 😀 must have switched cards while shipping maybe....anyway enjoy the power of the GT now!!

Yup, box was unopened as far as I can tell, says 6800 OC, 128mb DDR AGP 8x/4x and all that other stuff ~ Oddly the heatsink on the card also says BFG 6800 OC in raised lettering (its the dual blue led fan hs).

But its got 8 ram chips (I think dont wanna bother pulling it out) that were all stuck to the hs with that thermal tape ~ so how does something like this happen! Guy on assembly line A got a cart of GT's instead of NU's and just figured he'd slap the extra thermal tape on the extra ram and throw it in the box? This is assuming the GT hsf's say 'BFG 6800GT OC' -- do they?
