BFG 7950 512 at Fry's $199.99-$40MIR=$159.99+shipping. I added a FAR ULTRA black case that may not have free shipping this month for just another $3 shipping for a total of approx $10 shipping.
6-22-07 back to the hich cycle $209. It goes every couple weeks to $169 for 4 days then $159 for a couple of days then back to $209.

It seems to be GT not GS, OP might want to fix that in the title. Not a bad deal at all for a GT.

Damn. Paid 100 bucks more for a comparable version of this card like 6 months ago. Nice deal.

Sometimes deals are...but usually MIRs are involved more times than not.

Either way, document your receipts/barcodes/etc and print clearly on the submission forms and the letter envelope and copy down where you can check the status of the rebate.

If you haven't gotten an email from the rebate co after 2 weeks of sending the rebate in, call the 1800 # or something.

The one bad thing about this card is that looking at the picture, the heatsink is puny - my eVGA 7900GT KO has a nice copper heatsink, covering both GPU and memory. If it wasn't for the heatsink, I would be tempted by the 512MB.

I picked one up today at Fry's for a new build. Price is now 209.99-40.00 MIR=169.99. Regarding what someone said above with the small fan on on the card, I set it up and ran benchmarks most of the evening. At idle it's silent (nearly) and ramps up in low 3d and has a third stage in heavy 3d but even at it's heaviest it's not loud at all (to my ears) and stayed under 74c for 3 straight hours of benchmarking. It was about the same loudness as my older X800XL which was perfectly acceptable.

I bought a Zalman v900 (i think thats the model #) and it keeps my temps at 42-45c idle...50c load.

It's silent but cost $40 after shipping from newegg.
