Hi, I'm going to buy an AGP BFG GeForce 6800. I'm trying to keep my computer to low cost so this is obviously the most expensive part.

Which one should I get? I see a bunch of them.

What do you mean, as in the BFG 6800 oc, 6800gt oc, or 6800ultra?

Well the cheapest would be the BFG 6800 oc. Just built a computer for a friend with one of these and he loves it. I have seen these going online for as low as 305 dollars or so. And a bit lower if you get in on a sale.

Is there a large diff between the three? I really want to stay near $300 if I can. Will I be ok with that one?

I am sure you will be more than okay with the BFG 6800oc its a good card. What resolutions are you going to run at? What games do you play?

Whats the rest of your system specs?

Yeah that Leadtek one looks nice but I've heard so many good things about the BFG I'm kind of leanin towards it now.

i have the exact same card, the BFG 6800 OC, very good card i love it. It very overclockable and i was able to unlock the extra 4pipelines and the vertex shader, great performance boost. It comes with Farcry the game, which is very cool!. This card runs half life with good graphics.

if you know anythign about benchmarking i got a score of 9546 on 3dmark03 out of the box. With the unlocking of the pipes and vertex shader it boosted me up to 10587!. ANyways NOTE!!!, overcloking and unlocking of pipes and vertex shader viods you warranty, so do it at your own risk!!.

Both Leadtek or BFG are great brands. You may want the BFG because it's pre-overclocked and warranted for the overclocking. I think BFG has a lifetime warranty.

I have the BGF 6800GT OC model. WoW and HL2 both run at 1680x1050 widescreen with all visual settings maxed. Everything is flawless. I've yet to see a stutter.

Gainward or XFX will be better if you want to get the most out of your money.
