I just got my 8800gt OC from BB last night and decided I'm going to need to mod it to keep it cool to the point where I don't have to worry about it every time i play a graphics intensive game. I'm interested in hearing about other's attempts at modding one. Anyone have any pictures they could post?

well, im trying to mod my bios, to achieve more volts to the gpu core, since when i game i run the fan at 100%.

http://www.xtremesystems.org/f...howthread.php?t=164242

that link shows people achieving 760mhz core, 1850mhz shader, and 1000mhz memory. mod done through bios

this thread shows some hardware soldering modifications that will allow 880mhz, 2200mhz, 1050mhz. LOL

1 guy reported running crysis at 918mhz core, from the original 600mhz!!!!!!

lol that can't be real. I suppose if you were to have a 2 inch in diameter solid copper tube running from your gpu to the other side of the room it might be realistic. If it is real though, props to that guy

no its very real, im running at 740, 1780, 950 right now on the stock fan, with the cd drivers. fan 100%, crysis temps below 64 celcius. So its very real, the only drawback is the over voltage protection on the OCP vdroop, the 112 stream processors, and the 256 mem bus. Other than that it is the all elusive D9E that is crippled. some people have reported in those same forums, unlocking the extra 16 stream processors also. (maybe a driver hard mod to come?)

if i could run at 810 2000 2000, id be happy. with stock 600 1500 1800 being close to 8800gtx speeds, imagine what a 30% OC yeilds.
